District of Bratislava – Ružinov presents in honour of the international multi-genre festival Symphony of Art the following:
Hot classic – Gypsy Devils and Slovak Symphony Orchestra
The Hot Classic is an exceptional project in which the unique Slovak group Gypsy Devils and Slovak Symphony Orchestra will perform on one stage under the conduction of Adrian Kokoš.
Participants can enjoy the most famous melodies from Carmen opera performed in arrangements of Ernest Šarközi's. Moreover, this music is enriched of his own variations of non-traditional and interesting fusions of original Bizet's music and other musical genres. However, this time this work includes strong elements of Spanish and gypsy temperament and comes to life in a form in which Bizet's romantic melodies are masterfully connected with elements of jazz, flamenco, ethno and gypsy music. Both musical ensembles are equal partners, which gives the performance incredible energy and charge. Everything is empowered by an extraordinary virtuosity, which is an integral part of the artistic expression of the Gypsy Devils.
The second half of the evening will bring famous, classical, film, folk melodies as well as music of the world-ethno genre. This part includes for example the artwork "Znelka" - (paraphrase and variations on Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 3 and Slovak folk song "Macejko"), as well as the brilliant "Waltz and Impressions" for dulcimer, the popular "Monti czardas", or Oscar-winning music from the movie "Schindler's List". We should also mention the ballad entitled "Tribute to the victims of the Holocaust", in which singing and music very sensitively express all the emotions of such a tragic period as World War II.
Preconditions:
Dress code: formal. In case of inappropriate clothing, due to the social event, the organizer reserves the right to refuse you entry to the event.
In case of bad weather, only tickets from the VIP sector will remain valid and the concert will take place on the same date in the DK Ružinov building, Ružinovská 28, Bratislava. Other tickets will be returned in full.
In case of bad weather after the start of the concert, the entrance fee will not be refunded.
